Last weekend we were lucky enough to go to Cape Charles, VA with Nana, Muck, and Uncle Scott. We had such a nice time celebrating Nana's birthday and spending time together. The boys got to play lots of golf and the girls got to spend lots of time at the pool, beach and talking. A winning combonation for everyone. Abigail wasn't feeling good the entire trip and even had a fever on Sabbath, but overall it was a wonderful weekend. Thank you Nana and Muck for inviting us!
Playing a game of Trouble with Nana.
The resorts private beach on the Chesapeake Bay. We had it all to ourselves on Friday.
Not too thrilled about walking in the sand.
Seashell hunting with Nana.
Pool time with new "bath time" baby. Everyone was much happier here.
Abigail loved swimming with Daddy. (Check out Daddy's sunglasses....he forgot his, so he borrowed a pair of Mommy's....not too shabby! Ha ha!)
Waiting to eat dinner at Kelly's Sugarnut Pub.
Uncle Scott a.k.a. Tickle Monster.
Sabbath we drove to Chincoteague/Assateague and hung out for the day.
Not too thrilled with the lighthouse....of course the fever probably didn't help that.
Picture from the top of the lighthouse. This is the area where they swim the ponies across every year.
Daddy and Abigail waving at Mommy (who was at the top of the lighthouse).
Nana and Muck made a small detour into this museum to check out the real "Misty" and her offspring. The rest of us stayed in the nice air conditioned car. But here are the pictures. =) I was smart enough to send the camera with them.
Waiting patiently for the promised ice cream.
One happy child.
What horrible parents we are....nothing like a bit of sugar and dairy to help a fever and cold symptoms, huh? Oh well! It was still enjoyed by all.
This picture courtesy of Abigail...from across the table.
Ice cream zombie.....
so sleepy!!!! She slept the entire way back to the resort. (Which we all know is a miracle for the child who NEVER sleeps in the car).
Sunday morning...one more trip to the beach before we left to collect sand, water, and shells for Aunt Mikki.
On our way back home...getting ready to go over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel. It is truly amazing.
