The Zoo with Pop Pop & Grandma

We always sit around the house, relax, visit, and just hang out when Grandma & Pop Pop come to visit.  This time we decided to drag them around Norfolk.   The zoo was a lot of fun, but I think all of us were wiped out by the end of the day.  We certainly got our exercise!

Taking a much needed break and waiting for the train.

The Millers come to the beach!

It is a wonderful thing when someone calls us and says, "we're vacationing at the Outer Banks this year".  Music to our ears!  We miss everyone back "home" so much.  So when Erin called and told me they were coming, I was ecstatic!  Abigail and I drove to Manteo, braved the mosquitoes, and spent a day with the Millers.  Thanks for letting us crash your condo and family vacation.  It was so much fun seeing you!

Labor Day Weekend

We killed two birds with one stone this Labor Day weekend.  Amy & Scott invited us to the Chapel Hill vs. JMU football game and we stayed in Roxboro at Poppy & Gran's new house.  Uncle Scott even came down too!  We had such a great time.  The football game got a little hot for the kids (and the mommies) so Amy and I took them back to the hotel room and had a picnic on the floor!  :)  Gran & Poppy took us on a boat ride and fed us great food all weekend.  It was so much fun!  We can't wait to spend a lot of time at the lake with them next summer.

We were a split family....Abigail decked out in JMU gear and Daddy was in all Carolina!

Abigail has a love/hate relationship with "Poppy's boat".  She says she likes it and is having a good time, but she refuses to open her eyes when it's moving.  Silly girl!

Banished!

During Hurricane Irene Jonathan didn't want to worry about the family stuck at home, so he "banished" us to Grandma and Pop Pop's house.  We didn't like being away from him, but we had a great time.  We got to meet Brody and play with his big sister, Sophie.  And we got to spend lots of time with Grandma, Pop Pop, Aunt Leanna and the rest of the family.

Brody (at 4 months old he only weighs 6 pounds less than Abigail!!!)  What a cute bundle of fluffiness!
 Sophie & Abigail...pretending to share.

Uh oh!

We've always known that Abigail liked having her back rubbed, but recently she learned about Mommy's massage table.  I think she's hooked.  Daddy's in big trouble....I can see him having to pay for many a "spa day" in the future.  Ha ha!  When she gets sleepy now she'll say, "rub back".  It really is adorable.
