Fireworks!

Jonathan, Abigail, and I decided to brave the weather and head downtown to watch the fireworks last night.  It was Abigail's first time seeing fireworks and she did great.  The noise didn't scare her at all.  Her new favorite word is "nice".  We got a lot of "nice"es during the show.
Abigail: "Ohhhh, nice!"
Jonathan: "Did you like that one?"
Abigail: "Yeah, nice!"

 Cheese ball!!!
Eating a snow cone with Daddy before the show begins.

Daddy showing Abigail how to lick the ice.  Ha ha!
 Good sharing.

We ended up watching the entire show huddled together on a towel under umbrellas, but it was lots of fun.  Nice and cozy, just the way I like it!  For such a small town, Elizabeth City puts on a good show.

The Mintons Come to Visit

Amy, Scott, & Colby came to visit us for the 4th of July weekend.  It was so nice to spend some quality time with them.  We are so grateful to have friends that love us enough to make the long haul across the state!  We love you guys!

One confident kid...undies, t-shirt, and rainbow necklace/bracelet...signature outfit for the weekend.  Gotta love this guy!
Going to see the water and boats....so excited!

I can already see our future..."Jenn, do we have to take one more picture or can we just go?  I left the Bugatti running, we really need to go!"

This is my favorite picture of the weekend.  Are they not the cutest?

Watching the tigers at the zoo.

 Cheesy monsters!

Waiting for the train...in the shade...hallelujah!

July 27th Came Early This Year!

It looks like we are going to be celebrating Abigail's 2nd birthday for the entire month of July.  Ha ha!  Poppi & Gran didn't want to move this to their new house and then try to figure out how to get it back to us...so Abigail got an early birthday present!  She was so excited.  And who wouldn't be?  I was just as excited to play in this kitchen!  It has already provided us with hours of entertainment.  Thank you, Gran & Poppi, you did an excellent job!

First Boo Boo!

Well...technically this is not our first boo boo, but it is our first scraped knee.  Abigail fell in a neighbors driveway last week.  She didn't cry at all.  She's such a brave little girl.  The promise of a Dora Bandaid probably helped!
